The dashboard calculates Simulated Billing and Simulated Write Ons/Offs by matching the unbilled Gross WIP against the existing Interims within the same job. This simulates what would happen if a WIP wash-up were performed.
What If the Interim Invoice Is in a Different Job?
If the interim invoice is recorded under a separate job from where the WIP is tracked, the dashboard cannot match the invoice to the WIP. This is because the simulation only works at the job level, not across multiple jobs.
